How toxic is opossum urine?  How should you clean it?

We cannot say opossum did not carry any disease, but yes, its ratio of disease is less as compared to other animal urines. The point is if you handle the Opossum, simply use gloves, face mask, and wash your hands when you handle them. These are the simple tips by using them you can protect yourself from the disease. Diseases that are associated with opossum are diarrhea, fever, fatigue, rash on the body, and another neurological disease.

Most harmful diseases are associated with the opossum feces, like when you contact Opossum, it can result in hepatitis A., so it is important to use all the protection while working with the waste of opossum.

Although the opossum urine color is yellow when you find their stain at home, they will be darker in color, and yes, you will feel a bad smell too.

• Use plastic gloves and face mask, remove the waste of the Opossum at first. Now add this waste into a plastic bag and keep them aside. 
• Open the window and door o the area can get fresh air.
• Wash the area fully so you can remove the stain and poop mark. 
• Use water and bleach mixture and spread it inside the effected place. Leave the area to soak for the next 5 minutes. At this point, you are going to get rid of the odor.
